On the 14th October 2022, the Eastleigh track reopened after its £1.5 million refurbishment to provide a whole new level of indoor karting.
This time we have gone completely electric meaning faster karts, more power & much less smelly!
Our e-karts are wrapped in our signature blue wrapping and can reach speeds of 40mph.
The track is the longest to have opened in Hampshire ever with a 500m total circuit across 2 floors. Incorporated into this are challenging ramps, hairpins corners and speed-enhancing straights providing a mega-fun experience.
In addition to the new track we have a brand new Putt Club course on site. A crazy golf course consisting of 9 vibrant holes and a motorsport theme throughout. Not to mention the police car golf buggy!
The site also offers sim racing, an arcade area, a bar and a seating area where you can enjoy some delicious food off of our new menu.
Since the grand opening, Eastleigh track has been enormously popular, with almost twice as many bookings as before.
Instagram account @kids_and_me_adventures stated, ‘It was so much fun racing each other around the track. We took part in a family session so it was perfect for some family time and so funny to see how competitive a mother and son can be’.
This track is one of 35 across the UK, 50% of which will be joining Eastleigh in becoming electric before the end of 2023. The next e-karting refurb is Brighton which opened again at the beginning of November . All our electricity comes from renewable energy.
TeamSport are making these important changes to fulfil our goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. We feel strongly that by going electric we can still provide a great racing experience for our customers whilst also doing our bit to care for the environment. Don’t worry though – we are definitely not going to part with all our petrol karts just yet!
We look forward to seeing many of you test out the refurbished Eastleigh track and brand new e-karts soon!
