Race Academy with TeamSport is the ultimate way forward for children 8-15 years who want to progress their karting skills.
Every student follows a clearly structured progression pathway, aimed to take them from a Beginner to an Advanced karter.
All students start Race Academy at Beginner level. Here our fully qualified instructors will teach you the basics.
Each lesson includes 20 to 30 minutes of track time.

Those who pass the Beginner lessons will be awarded their Intermediate licence.

To join Race Academy you first need to become a Race Academy member.
This also unlocks the fantastic Member Rewards including discounted karting, loyalty points and a free race on your birthday.
Once you've become a member your next step is to book your first Beginner lesson.
Lessons run weekly on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings to suit after-school club times and family life.
Whilst weekly attendance will ensure your child progresses on the quickest path, it is not mandatory and you will only pay for sessions that your child attends.

Start racing in a competitive environment
Race Academy League with TeamSport is for those who have attained there Advanced Race Academy licence and want to put their skills to the test by racing against other Advanced Race Academy drivers in a competitive environment.
Drivers 13 years + with an Advanced Race Academy licence, who want to try competitive racing should check out Grid Series Championships & Member 342 events.
The GRID Series is a Go karting championship-based competition held locally at all TeamSport tracks nationwide. Grid Series is for Elite and Race Academy Advanced drivers who are looking to race against local members and prove they have what it takes to come out on top. It serves as a perfect series to practice for the British Indoor Karting Championship.
This session is for Members only and includes 3 races with breaks in between, where you'll be competing against other members for the best lap time.

Race Academy Advanced Membership includes a Motorsport UK K-I Licence.
In order to participate in BIKC you are required to hold a Motorsport UK K-I Licence, which forms part of our Race Academy Advanced Membership at no additional cost.
As Race Academy Advanced Members your details will be shared with MotorSport UK in order for them to fulfil the dispatch of your K-I Licence. For any queries regarding the issue of your K-I Licence please contact the Motorsport UK.

Cadet Drivers | 8 to 12 years - Must have an inside leg measurement of at least 25 inches. Cadet drivers will learn in slightly smaller, less powerful Karts.
Junior Drivers | 13 to 15 years - Must have an inside leg measurement of at least 29 inches. Junior drivers will learn in Adult Karts.
Before booking Race Academy Lessons you need to Join as a Race Academy Member
Lessons run weekly on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings at TeamSport tracks Nationwide.
For a discount on full priced karting first find the experience you would like to book. You can then redeem your Membership discount by logging into your existing TeamSport account as you proceed through the checkout or purchase through our app.
On special Member events, your discount is already applied and is reflected in the price.

All karters will start as a Beginner, with a focus on the basics such as track safety and the racing line. From here they will progress to Intermediate where the sessions will become more challenging as your child progresses, for example learning racing strategies. When they achieve their intermediate licence, your child will be signed off as Advanced.
You first need to attain an Advanced Race Academy licence to take part in Leagues and Championships.
Once you have the world of competitive racing is open for you to compete in.

No, membership discount is only applicable for the individual who has the membership and cannot be used for additional drivers. When booking, you must use your membership account to receive your discount and loyalty points.
