We ask all customers who are racing to provide personal data to us. We need to register (take personal data), so that there is a record of you racing with us. This is so that in the event of an incident on the track and any subsequent claim we have a record of your race. We will carefully store this information for a period of 3 years and 6 months from the date of your last visit.

Where you opted in are aged over 16 we may contact you with information about other events and offers we provide, but we will only send you communications relating to our products and we won't share this information, other than to our processors to facilitate the sending of email communication to you.

 

If you join (purchase) one of our membership schemes, that include Loyalty points, we will send you service messages to help you make the most of it.

 

You can opt out of receiving marketing emails from us at any time.

 

We may contact you with customer satisfaction surveys after a visit and provide lap times by email.

 

If you make a purchase from us, we’ll need to send emails to you to, for example a “Booking Confirmation” necessary for the fulfilment of your contract (booking etc) with us.

 

How we use your personal data

When you make a booking with us or race with us, we will collect personal data about you. The reason for this is to be able to fulfil the contract or to maintain a record of your race with us for both our protection in the unlikely event of any future legal claim from your visit. We might also contact you by email, to keep you informed of relevant products and offers we can provide (our legitimate interest). You will always be able to unsubscribe from any marketing communication from us.

We might use servers or processors (incl’ sub-processors) outside the UK, EEA or “countries of adequacy”.

 

If we do transfer any personal data to a territory outside the afore mentioned, it will always be covered by an International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or Standard Contract Causes (SCC) that meet the requirements stipulated by the U.K Information Commissioner.

We may also share certain information such as your location, browser, and cookie data and other data relating to your use of our website with our business partners to deliver advertisements (“ads”) that may be of interest to you.

Please note that TeamSport may ask an advertiser to show an ad to a certain audience of Users (e.g., based on demographics or other interests). In that situation, TeamSport or our Partners determines the target audience and serves the advertising to that audience and only provides anonymous data to the advertiser. If you respond to such an ad, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach.

TeamSport have offices and facilities in the United Kingdom. Your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the U.K and European Economic Area (EEA), however, as mentioned above this will be subject to appropriate safeguards.

 

The hosting facilities for our website are situated in the United Kingdom.

Retaining and deleting personal data

Personal data that we process for any purpose, either as a website visitor or having raced with us, is not kept for longer than is necessary. In some cases we may need to retain your personal data where necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.
